Privacy Policy

We do not sell your data

We do not sell your personal data, portfolio data, or broker-connection data to anyone, ever. We do not share it with hedge funds, advertisers, or data brokers. That is a brand promise, not a legal minimum.

What we collect

  • Account information: email address, and profile details you provide.
  • Portfolio data: positions, transactions, and balances you upload (CSV/statement import) or that a broker connection you authorize provides read-only.
  • Usage data: pages visited, feature usage, and error logs, used to keep the product working and to prioritize fixes.
  • Billing data (Pro / Quant Desk tiers): handled by our payment processor (Stripe) — we do not store full card numbers.

Broker connections are read-only by default

When you connect a broker (Schwab, Tastytrade, Tradier, Coinbase, IBKR, E*TRADE), we request read access to positions and balances so AxiomFolio can display and analyze your portfolio. We do not place trades through a connected broker unless you have explicitly enabled that capability for your account, and you can revoke a broker connection at any time from Settings → Connections.

How we use your data

To render your portfolio, compute signals and research outputs, run the strategies and backtests you create, send account-related emails (e.g. security notices), and improve the product. We do not use your portfolio or broker data to train third-party AI models beyond what's needed to power the specific feature you invoked (e.g. an in-app research question).

Third-party services

We rely on a small set of vendors to run the product: market-data providers (for prices and fundamentals), Plaid or direct broker OAuth (for account connections you authorize), Stripe (for billing on paid tiers), and infrastructure providers (hosting, database, error monitoring). Each only receives the data required to perform its function.

Data retention and deletion

Portfolio and account data is retained while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from Settings, or by emailing support@axiomfolio.com. Some records may be retained longer where required for fraud prevention, security, or legal/accounting obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. under CCPA or GDPR), you may have the right to know what data we hold about you, request a copy of it, request correction or deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal data — which, as above, we don't do. To exercise any of these rights, contact support@axiomfolio.com.

Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest for sensitive data, and scope database access with row-level security so one user's data isn't visible to another. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

Children's privacy

AxiomFolio is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date.
