Most portfolio apps charge a monthly fee just to look at your own data. Free never will — no trial, no expiration, no feature-clock. Pro and Quant are separate paid tiers for active trading and research, if you want more than portfolio clarity.

Upgrading is optional. Pro is for active trading — signals, broker execution, and native Copilot chat. Quant is for research — point-in-time data, walk-forward backtests, and notebooks.

At 10,000 users with two accounts each, that's substantial monthly cost before we earn a dollar.
That's why aggregator-based competitors charge a subscription to look at your own portfolio. They're paying Plaid out of your subscription.
We chose differently. Every direct broker connection we offer today — Schwab, Interactive Brokers (IBKR), Tastytrade, Tradier, Coinbase, and E*TRADE (sandbox) — is free, with no tier gate. Plaid is the only connector that costs anything, because it is the only one we pay for.
Fidelity and Robinhood are planned via a read-only import partner and are not live yet. Vanguard, JPMorgan, Merrill, and Wells Fargo aren't connectable today, direct or via import — we'd rather say that than let you find out. CSV import backfills transaction history on a broker account you've already connected; it isn't a separate way to onboard a brokerage we don't yet support.
We choose free direct connections because we choose you.
